The Aspen Institute (the “Institute”) is a global nonprofit organization committed to a free, just, and equitable society that drives change through dialogue, leadership, and action to help solve the most important challenges facing the United States and the world. The Institute understands the importance of your personal information and provides our Privacy Policy below so you can understand our privacy practices and our efforts to protect your information. Personal information includes information that can be used to identify you individually and as it is defined by applicable law (referred to throughout as “personal information”).
This Privacy Policy applies to the website located at www.aspeninstitute.org, and any other websites, mobile applications, and other platforms or services (the “Digital Properties”) that are owned and controlled by the Institute (hereafter referred to as the “Institute,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), where this Privacy Policy is posted (collectively, with the Digital Properties, referred to throughout this Privacy Policy as the “Services”). Collection and Use of Information
The Institute collects information voluntarily given by users as well as automatically collected information as you navigate the website and any Services. For example, if a user signs up for a newsletter, we will collect an email address. If a user contributes to the Institute, we will collect a name, billing address, and information needed to complete a donation transaction.
The types of personal information we collect includes:
- Contact information (first and last name, organization, title, mail and email address, phone number, country of residence);
- Payment information (including payment card numbers and associated identifiers, billing address, and bank account information);
- Purchase and participation history, such as information about donations you have made, purchases, and events you have attended;
